Project description
In 2024, thyssenkrupp Polysius has installed the kiln outlet end section at a plant in Germany, which has already been delivered three years ago. It was installed at a KHD rotary kiln. The scope of delivery also included the disassembly of a cooling air ring pipe and of the existing kiln outlet end section as well as the installation of the new kiln outlet end section, which has a weight of 13tons.
In order to use the indoor crane for inserting the kiln section, the protection segments had to be removed for weight reduction. Further, the base plates of station III had to be exchanged, and a cold clearance measurement has been conducted at station I–III.
Results
Installation took place in 2024
The customercontinues to be very satisfied with the cooperation with Polysius and has already ordered the next kiln end section from Polysius, which they would like to install with Polysius in 2025.
